Banco de Bogota launched its first Fintech Challenge in 2013, with the aim of designing new strategies to solve real issues that the Bank was facing at that moment. My team researched, worked and proposed a solution that finally gave us the 1st place in the contest. The team was composed by 3 developers and myself, as UX/UI designer and team leader.
A diagnosis was made over the client goals and the user needs.
Diagrams were made to identify the different existing users processes.
Different navigation structures were planned and evaluated.
Detailed frontend and backend wireframes were made.
A prototype was executed and was tested with real users focal groups.
Finally, within 40 teams that were presented, we won the contest.
Results were collected after the strategy and planning initial stage, and trough a white label model, the Yeii Grupo Aval brands mobile app was launched. The same model has been used by other companies such as Grupo Coomeva and Femsa (Coca-cola). The total numbers of users in 3 years was 80.000.
Users feedback and the client goals were received and documented. The app’s redesign was made based on that data. Out of the navigation problems posted by users, non-existent functionalities were added.
The design is currently being implemented.
Specific animations were created to deliver great experiences.
Different layouts were elaborated in detail. Flow charts, GUI KIT with metrics and components were made as well.
Design Managment System was made, with corresponding Font previews for the most important layouts.
I also create the name of wisi and developed its brand identity.
